Traffic disruption on Renfrew and Baybreeze - September 3rd

Traffic disruption on Renfrew and Baybreeze from 8 am to 12pm will occur only during blast for a duration of approximately 15 minutes. Therefore plan your travel to town accordingly.

Stack drops

The exact date and time of the drops are weather dependent, but are currently planned for Thursday Sept. 3rd at 8:30 am and the second blast a few hours later. There may be changes in the dates and timing of events so please watch for notices as the date approaches.

The waterline to the Town of Dalhousie will remain shut down until we receive more information regarding the plans for continued demolition of the thermal plant. Water conservation measures will be in effect for at least 48 more hours.

MEMO – Parking and shuttle service, thermal plant demolition

Due to limited parking in the NB Power area, the Town of Dalhousie has set up a shuttle service from the NBIP Club, 361 Williams street in Dalhousie to the thermal plant viewing area for Sunday, August 16. The shuttle will run from 7 am until after the second stack has been dropped. Please note that there will be shade, bathrooms, seating and water at the viewing site, and the wearing of closed...
