The Restigouche County SPCA reminds everyone about the By-Law 601-05 and especially section 7. (1) (h) which states “ The owner of a dog commits an offense under this By-Law if he transports any animal unsecured in an open vehicle”. The penalty for such an offence is a fine of not less than $200.00 and not more than $500.00

This recall involves Husson manufacturing direct vents gas fireplaces and gas fireplace inserts that use American flame brand main control modules. The recalled products are 22 models sold under the brand names Kozy Heat Fireplace, Ambiance Fireplaces and Stellar Hearth products. A petition initiate by Yvon Godin, MP for Acadie-Bathurst to the House of Commons is circulating and is available to sign at the Town Hall. This petition is asking our government to maintain rail service between Bathurst and Miramichi. Our area will be affected by this closure if it does happen.
